With everyone around here getting excited about seeing the big Elite yachts like ‘RM Elegant’, ‘Sherakhan’ and ‘O Mega’ lining up for the forthcoming Valencia Grand Prix at the end of June, I always feel duty bound to remind fellow sailors passionate about hands on sailing that they haven’t been forgotten!

So many good things all at once! The last couple of weeks have been a bit of a blur really - what with Monaco, then Cannes, I had almost forgotten to tell you about this year’s SuperYacht Awards on a Saturday night at the lovely Guildhall, inbetween packing and unpacking the Louis Vuittons – I never go anywhere without them, y’know!

The sight of a motley crew of TV presenters like Nick Hancock and Richard Madeley, out of their comfort zone and getting to grips with steering a tall ship around the Dorset coast on ITV’s sailing challenge programme ‘All At Sea’, last week, was a gratifying sight indeed!
